Dear host family,

My name is Dayana Vargas. I am 21 years old and I am studying economics at the university. I am in the eighth semester. I always liked to understand the process of production marketing and distribution of products. I am part of the economics group at the university.
I live in Sogamoso, Colombia. It is a city which is close to Bogotá, the capital of the country. The temperature of Sogamoso is really pleasant because it is always between 18 to 22 degrees all around the year. The principal activities of the area are the agriculture and the tourism due to the exotic landscapes.
I live with my father Ricardo Vargas, my mother Sonia Plazas and my brother Freddy who is 19 years old. He is studying to become a cook. My brother Javier is 17 years old. He lives and studies chemical engineering in Argentina. We are really close to each other. We travel to the countryside, spend Christmas and birthday parties together.
I have many hobbies. I like playing volley ball, swimming, doing friendly environment hiking, economics reading, going to the cinema, dancing, riding my bike, cooking. I like a lot to spend my time with babies and children. I like to feed them, to play and to help them with their homework. It is great for me to give them love. Since I was born I have always been surrounded by children.
I have worked taking care of children and I have learnt a lot from them. I always have a lot of fun with children because I know many educational games that they like, so they learn through games such as puzzles, drawing, stories…
I am very patient because I know that they are growing and discovering new things. But I do not forget to teach them what is wrong and right. During my experience taking care of children I can say that teaching with love is the best way. Listening and giving them love is wonderful.
If you trust in me, you will be able to know an honest, responsible, intelligent and integral person. And you will feel in peace knowing that your children are in good hands.
I am impatient to meet you.
Sincerely,
Dayana
